Background: Dementia is a community issue that must be addressed at the community level. A dementia-friendly community is informed, safe, and respectful of individuals living with dementia and their families; offers supportive options across community sectors; and fosters quality of life for all.
Who should attend: Community members, volunteers, service providers, businesses, faith communities, and anyone interested in building a more inclusive community.
This session is informed by the principles of Dementia Friendly America, a multi-sector national collaboration working to advance dementia-friendly communities across the United States.
